In starry August we study meteor showers. Let’s start with the most famous of them – Perseids.

The number of meteors observed from Earth reaches 60 per hour. It is interesting that information about the Perseids is in the annals starting from our era, but the Belgian Adolf Quetelet is considered to be their discoverer. Probably the same guy discovered the Atlantic Ocean and grilled meat.
