Last time we talked about how jackets were made from blankets, but do not forget about ponchos. A blanket with a hole for the head was known to the inhabitants of America before the arrival of the Spaniards. Thus, we can safely conclude that the idea to dress in a blanket comes to all people at some point, regardless of culture.
