As you know, printing appeared in China. The first printing press in Europe was founded by Gutenberg in the mid-15th century. Of course, right after the Bible, Johannes Gutenberg began affiliate marketing, printing advertisements for wooden shoes. Not that they were popular, but obviously Johann liked them.
