In starry August we study meteor showers. Today – Geminids.  

This is one of the most powerful meteor showers with a maximum of 200 meteors per hour, which is twice as much as the more hyped August Perseid shower. But it is not so well known, perhaps because in December, when it occurs, the northern hemisphere is usually cloudy and cool, which does not encourage romantic observations. We say goodbye to meteor showers for the year. Until next August, stars.
