Southern Gothic has found its expression in all areas of art. In photography, Walker Evans is responsible for it. During his time with the Farm Security Administration (FSA), he photographed the aftermath of the Great Depression. These photographs have become classics of the 20th century and the epitome of Southern Gothic.
