In October we talk about the most famous photographers of the 20th century. Today is Weegee.

 

Arthur Fellig, also known as Weegee, was an American photojournalist and master of documentary photography, renowned for his photo essays of New York City nightlife during the Great Depression and Prohibition. In 1938, Weegee became the first civilian to obtain a police-grade shortwave radio permit. This allowed him to often arrive at the scene of an incident before emergency services.
