In October we talk about classic board games. Today is Shogi.
Shogi is Japanese chess. It evolved from the original chess, but like everything else in Japan, it eventually acquired its own unique style and rules. It has been around since the 8th century AD, but its modern form was achieved when Emperor Go-Nara radically changed the rules of the game in the 16th century. He probably enjoyed winning.
