In October we talk about the most famous photographers of the 20th century. Today is Jindřich Štrejt.
Czech photographer Jindřich Štrejt’s favorite subject was photographing Czech villages. In 1981, Štrejt documented the elections, and a year later, he exhibited his work. A few hours later, the exhibition was closed by state police, and Štrejt was arrested, charged with slandering the president and the country, and sentenced to ten months in prison.
