Piet Oudolf is a Dutch landscape designer. His designs and plant compositions utilize extensive stands of herbaceous perennials. He believes a garden should look good year-round, not just at a specific time. Thus, his gardens remain in their planned state years after planting, with slight deviations from Oudolf’s hand-drawn maps. He has developed over 70 plant varieties.
