As you know, our office is located on the moon, and the moon is famous for its craters. There are more than 1.3 million craters here, and we don’t think we’ll have time to tell you about them all in October. We’ll tell you only about the most outstanding ones.
Today we will tell you about the Gagarin crater. It is one of the largest on the moon, with a diameter of 262 km. The crater is named after the first man in space, but unfortunately Yuri could not enjoy it, because the crater received its name only two years after his death. And even if Gagarin had been alive at that time, he still would not have been able to admire it, or proudly show it to his beloved, because the crater is on the invisible side of the moon. A sad story.
