As you know, our office is located on the moon, and the moon is famous for its craters. There are more than 1.3 million craters here, and we don’t think we’ll have time to tell you about them all in October. We’ll tell you only about the most outstanding ones.
Today we will tell you about the d’Alembert crater. The d’Alembert crater is named after a French scientist, not a type of cheese, as you might think. Note the photo, it looks like someone took a macro shot in a pot of boiling water, but d’Alembert is three kilometers deep. Because of this unfavorable perspective, lunar craters will never be popular on Instagram.
