Dancing Forest

1 Min Read

In May we talk about forests. Today – Dancing Forest.

Dancing Forest is a patch of coniferous forest located in the Kaliningrad region of Russia. Almost all the trunks in this forest are leaning, bent, or twisted. Botanists disagree on why this happens. It could be a function of geomagnetic fields, strong winds in different directions, or damage to young pine trees by caterpillars. Or perhaps the pines simply love to dance.
