In June we talk about forests. Today – The White Forest.
The White Forest is located in Kyrgyzstan, near Lake Balkhash. It gets its name from the fact that it is composed entirely of white poplars. In June, when the poplars shed their fluff, the vast forest appears to be covered in snow, and the white canopies of trees swaying in the wind only enhances the wintery effect.
