2. Motuo County


Motuo County is located in Tibet, at the southern foothills of the Himalayas. From November to June, the mountain trails are covered in ice and snow, and from June to September comes the rainy season, with the risk of avalanches, landslides, and mudflows. On the final leg, travelers must cross nine rivers, including a 200-meter suspension bridge.
